The Department of Philosophy (PHIL) and the Women’s & Gender Studies
Program (WGST) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invite
applications for an Assistant Professor position beginning August 15, 2024.
The area of specialization (AOS) is feminist philosophy and/or philosophy
of gender or sexuality, with a preference for non-ideal approaches and for
research that is significantly grounded in philosophical traditions
historically underrepresented in the field (e.g., feminist, queer/trans,
Africana, Latin American / Latinx, Asian, Indigenous, disability studies,
etc., including innovative applied and interdisciplinary work).
As you can see, the search committee would be enthusiastic about welcoming
a scholar who works at the intersection of feminist disability studies,
among other specialties.
