Subject: [DS-HUM] Sanctuary for health equity scholars

[EXTERNAL]

Hi all,
Just FYI, see the Institute for Development Studies’ program below, shared with me through a colleague.
Rebecca
==========

The Sanctuary for Health Justice, based at the Institute of Development Studies in Brighton, UK, will provide a welcoming environment for health equity scholars who are currently facing existential threats in the United States.
The Sanctuary will offer a reflective, reparative and restorative space where participants can build new coalitions, skills and solidarity with other health equity scholars. They will be in continuous engagement with their fellow cohort members (seven each year) during their period of residency at IDS, while also in dialogue with health equity scholars and activists that span the breadth of IDS’ extensive global and UK-based networks and collaborative research partnerships.
Deadline for round one: Nov. 14, 2025

I recognize with respect the Onondaga and Oneida Nations. I live and work on their ancestral land. I also recognize with respect the Black community of Syracuse, which has been disrupted and dislocated throughout this city’s history.
