I am so %^&*$ sick of getting email from spammers that I supposedly "opted
in" to, I'm about ready to start high-bandwidth testing to them. If they
complain, I'll just say "Please do not be offended. This is not a DoS
attack. Your network is on our Opt-In list of people who are interested in
increasing their ICMP traffic."

What a load of crap. My ass I opted in. Show me the logs, baby.

OK. Before everyone gets too bent out of shape about my post, it is 100%
bark. No bite. I have no desire to be Bill Clintons cell mate.

Now, if I could just set up some off-shore company in Singapore to do
this....Naw...it'd never work.

I tell you what. If you will turn on your spell checker and take a `lude
and chill out, I'll be more careful when I quote. (Notice your spelling of
the word "learn" above.) If you will note the email a bit more carefully,
you will notice that I did not attribute it directly to Jamie.

Do you notice the ">>"? That indicates that it has been quoted twice. I
am quoting HIS quoting something.

Lern to quote properly, James Rishaw did *not* say what you attributed to
him below, in fact he complained about it.

Ahem. Sorry for the typo, but the quote did *not* have double '>' in your

There's got to be a way to provide the information to people
who really need it too. My attempts to get the database information
to provide it to ISPs for troubleshooting, or to develop a new front
end that is more useful for people to use generate a "we can't give
you the database, even under NDA" from Network Solutions.

One of these days I'm gonna turn into a scumbag and just
walk it myself. *sigh* There's got to be a better way.

How would people feel about having contact information available
via rwhois? On the one hand it might be less manageable overall, on the
other it would allow ISPs to have greater control over how their contacts
are polled.
It would be near trivial to implement if there was interest.
