Hi. First of all... congrats on the great software and effort. This
thing its pretty flexible. The features I like most are the quick
entry window and the search-as-you-type filtering. I've been reading
some of the posts in the group, and just found out about some of the
advanced operations, such as ctrl-drag to other folders, etc.
(documentation please!)
There are many ways in which I'm filtering and organizing my tasks.
For the people using folders as priorities, there's also the option to
use the description to put this, as !1, !2, etc., or "star" the tasks
with *, **, ***, etc. and then search for those. This has the
disadvantage that if you want to change it, you have to edit the
description.

Anyway...some things I would like to be changed/implemented:
1. Ctrl-drag to "today" or "tomorrow": so if I quick-add a task that
lands inside "inbox", instead of opening/changing the description,
simply drag to any of those, so "today" becomes "next actions"
instantly.
2. To be able to rename "today", "tomorrow", or to add tabs with saved
searches. Kind of filtering.
3. Remove the single click selection: make it "deselect" everything.
Every time I click on an empty part of the app, either the last action
or the last folder gets selected; you then need a second click to re-
select all-tasks or whatever to see all tasks again.
4. Add info at the end of the task: Just like the "note" icon at the
end, maybe add the folder name(s) in which each tasks resides. It is a
great feature to have the number of tasks reflected on each folder
when you are on "all tasks" or "today"; but then you have to select
each task to see in which folder it is placed. Check out doit.im or
Things (for mac)
5. Add a special folder (like inbox, or trash) for completed tasks. I
know about the automatic remove feature on the prefs file, but when
the list starts to grow, having all those completed itmes still on the
list makes no sense. So why not add a "Completed" folder and,as soon
as marked, move all those there, and then, from that folder, either
delete or wait for auto-delete.
6. Add grep-like search/filter. This is more complicated, I guess.
Let's say you have several tasks:
Do this
Do that
Do those things
Do something
If you search "Do", you get all tasks. If you search "Do those", you
get only that action. Right now, if you search "Do thing" you get
nothing. With grep-like search, if you search for "Do thing", you get
"Do those things" AND "Do something". Get me?
7. Question: Let's say you ctrl-drag a task to add it to two other
folders. How do you remove it from one without editing the
description? Is there an advanced move for this?
8. Haven't been able to reproduce it, but some completed tasks get
deleted when you ctrl-drag them to other folders, or ctrl-drag other
tasks. I've seen this a couple of times.

Think that's about it :s
Thanks a lot for a great app!!! (can't wait for sync!!)
Best regards.

I belive there is a buton for "remove from folder" or a right click
option, something like that.. not sure wich since I don't have listo
here right now. But you need to be inside the folder that you would
like to remove it from in order for it to work.

Indeed...
Just found that option. It's "remove task"... from folder; and as you
said, you have to be in that folder to remove it. This is why adding
this info right after the description, in the same line in the task
list would let you delete the folder(s) that contain that task, like
removing tags.
Thanks a lot.
