Geoff,
the new release is already close to 90% done. It is a complete rework
with only small parts of the code still remaining untouched from the
previous release. The UI is based on Qt Jambi and much faster and
richer than the previous Swing based one.
There are a few new features (like sub tasks and repeating due dates/
times) but the main advantage is a much improved task editing
mechanism. The tag management is more powerful (e.g. with the much
requested collapsible tag tree) and so on...
Internally the code base is a lot cleaner and we now have a
comprehensive test suite which is crucial for the continuous evolution
of the listo client.
So in short: A lot of stuff that we hope makes the long wait
worthwhile.
We really want to release ASAP but I cannot commit to any specific
date.
