Greetings from IIT Gandhinagar!
We take great pleasure in informing you that the IIT Gandhinagar Library will be organizing 2nd International Conference on “Changing Landscape of Science & Technology Libraries (CLSTL 2019)” during 28th February -2nd March, 2019.
One of the major objectives of this conference is to bring together Library & Information Professionals working in Science & Technology Libraries within and outside India to exchange their innovative ideas, new initiatives, rich experiences, research work, best & successful practices for mutual benefit.
Some of the proposed sub-themes of the conference are;
- Higher Education, Innovation and Research
- Managing Change in S & T Libraries
- Library Spaces, collections & collaborations
- User Engagement with Libraries
- Achieving Excellence in Library services
- Scholarly Communication & Library Services
- Trends in Open Science, Open Access & Predatory Publishing
- E-Research Support Infrastructures, Research Data Management
- Emerging Technology Trends for S & T Libraries
- Demonstrating value of libraries in academic & research work
- Future of Science & Technology Libraries & Librarianship
Program structure for three days:
Program
will include Keynote addresses and invited expert talks by leading and
eminent library professionals from India & abroad, especially from S
& T libraries. There will be select but limited number of invited
presentations covering the successful case studies relating to the sub
themes. In addition, 2-4 half day workshops on specific topics and one
or two panel discussions will be added to the program. To encourage
larger participation, we will also have poster sessions. For the benefit
of participants, new products and resources exhibition or
demonstrations by well-known publishing houses, information
intermediaries & IT Companies will be held. Effort will be made to
make the conference fruitful, memorable and worth the time and money.

- Deadline for notifying acceptance of proposal to Presenter: 31st December 2018
- Deadline for submission of final Power Point slides for Presentation: 31st January 2019

We are expecting the participation of library
professionals and other academicians from premier academic institutions,
research organizations & industries in the country and abroad. We will be having eminent library
professionals from US, Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific Region as invited
speakers to deliver the talks on important themes and are expecting good
participation from Asian countries.
We would therefore request you to kindly
consider submitting a proposal/abstract of your proposed presentation and
actively participate in this event to share innovative ideas, rich experience
and best practices followed in your library for the benefit of other conference
attendees.
