Hey guys, does anyone have any creative ideas on how to do a campus violence
piece? I'm stuck pondering right now.

Thanks
Nate

Are you trying to incite violence or do you actually have some to begin
with?

Acts of violence against blacks, women and gays are much more prevalent than
people would think. One of my reporters wrote a fairly moving piece about
gay hate crimes on and off our campus. Do a search under "Cheri Walters" in
the Lantern archives at //www.thelantern.com

Cheri contacted a local gay rights group and interviewed activists who
referred her to victims of hate crimes. It took time, but she was able to
build relationships of trust with some of the victims. Through these
relationships she was able to write about hate crimes against gays with
stories being told from the mouths of those who were victimized.

How does that sound for a story concerning violence?
