A Washington, D.C.- based publication is looking for
artists to contribute to a thrice-annual, national
magazine.

The Student Press Law Center (SPLC) is the only
nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to
protecting the First Amendment rights of high school
and college journalists. The Center publishes a
magazine three times per year, the Report, summarizing
current cases, legislation and controversies involving
student press rights. In addition, the Report explains
and analyzes the legal issues that most often confront
student journalists.

If you are interested in doing art for our
publication, please contact publications coordinator
Sara Rose by e-mail at saraj...@yahoo.com or by
telephone at 703-807-1904.

The magazine uses illustrations rather than
photographs, and we look for artists to submit
drawings that will fit our needs. Although there is no
payment for publishing the art, artists get their work
published and noticed in a national magazine.

Artwork must be submitted by FRIDAY, JULY 7, 2000. For
more information, contact Sara Rose ASAP.

Thanks,

Sara Rose
