ALT.THEBIRD.COPWATCH INVITATION

The readers of this newsgroup are invited to visit and
participate with alt.thebird.copwatch.
alt.thebird.copwatch welcomes all reports of incidents of
police (and related agencies) abuse, solutions, handling and results
thereof. Discussion and announcements by and about all CopWatch
chapters, related orgs and organization of the central alliance are
also encouraged.
Our newsgroup is "monitored", in that it is NOT "moderated"
and requires no preapproval of postings (absolutely NO CENSORSHIP -
all posts are immediate), but is maintained by monitors whose duties
are to assist posters (answer questions, direct to other newsgroups,
etc.), post the CHARTER and FAQ regularly and generally promote the
newsgroup.
If your news server does not carry this newsgroup please
request that it do so, and consider asking also for the related
newsgroups listed below that support us with regular referrals. Many
servers do not setup newsgroups until their clients ask for them, and
practically all WILL do so upon request. If you give us the email
address for your server we will also send a request to them in support
of your own.
Some servers will honour posts to our (and other) newsgroup
even if it is not carried there. Practically all servers will forward
a post that is crossposted to at least one newsgroup that it does
carry (misc.misc if you want to trash the duplicate).
