I deleted a research bar (saved) search and then discovered that the
only note left in my sidebar for list-it was the filtered view of the
search that I had just deleted. Luckily I checked the dustbin and was
able to restore all my notes, but I'm wondering why this happened. Did
I do something wrong or is this a bug? It seems like deleting the
saved search also deleted every note other than the ones which belong
to the filtered result.

Hi Hollywood,

Oo, indeed you've found a bug that I've just been able to reproduce --
but I wanted to clarify that what it is forgetting to do is merely
reset the search mode of list-it when you delete a Quick Search -- it
is not actually deleting any of your notes (whew!). So you should not
have needed to pull anything out of the dustbin as far as I can tell.

If this happens to you / anyone again, if you open and close list-it
(by clicking the (x) on the sidebar) the search mode will be reset and
your notes will re-appear. I will in the meantime put in a short term
bug fix for the next upcoming release. Thank you!!

One thing we have always been thinking of doing is to just make the
notes that are _not_ search hits very transparent instead of hiding
them altogether, so you know they're not _gone_ they're just hidden.
Perhaps we can get around to implementing this soon for our 0.5.0
release.

Cheers and please let us know if you discover anything else
Max
