Call for Abstracts for the Atlantic Estuarine Research Society (AERS) Fall 2012 Meeting!
(Apologies for cross-postings.)

Hold the Date, Spread the Word, and don't forget to register!! The AERS meeting will be held in Chincoteague, VA on October 11-13, 2012.

Abstract and pre-registration deadline:  September 13, 2012
Student travel awards deadline:  September 13, 2012

This fall's meeting theme and panel discussion will center on "Ecosystem Sustainability & Resilience: From Genetics to Populations, Habitats, & Function", with talks organized into sessions on Sustainability & Resilience, Genetics/Populations, Habitats, and Function, as well as a General Session. The meeting will feature four keynote panelists:

Dr. Robert Condon, Dauphin Island Sea Lab
Mr. Louis Hinds, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge
Dr. Mark Luckenbach, Virginia Institute of Marine Science
Dr. Michael Peek, William Patterson University 
 
The venue will be the Marine Science Consortium msconsortium.org and the Chincoteague Center www.chincoteaguecenter.com, in Chincoteague, VA. 

Blocks of hotel rooms are available at the Best Western Plus, Comfort Suites, and the Refuge Inn. 
 
The Friday night banquet will take place at the The Chincoteague Center. A box lunch and the banquet on Friday is included in registration, but we request $30 for additional banquet guests.
 
Several field trips, including two birding trips with Chris Swarth are planned. More details available soon.
