In this morning's meeting, Ron Kaplan mentioned that Nick Briggs told him that he's seeing garbage in one of the windows that pops up during a Medley build.  The description made it sound like the screen raster is being written to a display surface with a different stride.

I just built Medley latest and captured this.  I believe this was the third window to pop up.  All the others looked fine.

This is a 16-inch 2017 MacBook Pro.  Intel architecture, naturally, running macOS Ventura.

Yes, that's what I was seeing.  It does look like the wrong stride - I suspect perhaps something on the Lisp side in one of the *DISPLAY files.

I just tried this on WSL Ubuntu 24.04.2 (Windows 11) with the latest medley master (commit: 1df0e1b1), maiko release (commit: de1fafba). I cleared the loadups directory first.

I connected to the MEDLEYDIR/scripts/loadups directory and gave the command:

./loadup

It ran all the way without any corrupted medley displays.

I can't reproduce the issue on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon X11 with the latest Medley master (commit 1df0e1b) and Maiko master (commit f0bd8e0).
