With the recent passing of long time technology advocate Stewart Cheifet I've been watching old episodes of "Computer Chronicles" which he hosted.

There are several scientists featured and several computer systems.

John McCarthy makes an appearance but there are some other scientists from the field as well. I'm not sure if they had history with Interlisp. (Might be worth knowing I suppose)

It seems like the system at 16 minutes in may be Interlisp but I can't quite make it out.

Anyway, it's a nice little slice of the era. Perhaps there is more to know.

The system at 15-16 minutes definitely looks like Interlisp-D. Note the black window at the bottom left of the screen with a pagehold the speaker releases by pressing a key. The demonstrated software might be KEE.

I was thinking the same Paolo.

In a following AI episode I also believe we have some Interlisp via Terry Winograd.

It's kind of a shame these snippets are so quickly displayed.
I'm not sure if these are useful artifacts of the era, but I suppose they are some footprints towards today.
Maybe there will be an episode with a bit more meat on the bone for Interlisp history.

The episode also features the ONCOCIN expert system in Interlisp and possibly also Dipmeter Advisor. The person using Interlisp-D at minute 15-16 is Tom Kehler of Intelligenetics and he explicitly says the application he's demonstrating is KEE, which of course makes sense.
