As I reported in the September 2, 2026 external meeting our Mastodon account was tagged for insight in a discussion on the origins of APROPOS in Lisp and its influence on the apropos Unix command. I posted a reply summarizing our discussion in the meeting and also tagged Kent Pitman, who noted APROPOS was already in Emacs in 1977. There are other interesting comments in the thread.
