On our Mastodon account I posted about the canonical capitalization of Interlisp and Amin Girasol wondered why it is so different from Inter-LISP/65 published by Datasoft, an Interlisp implementation for 8-bit Atari micros. He also posted some background information on Datasoft and an entity named Special Software Systems which actually developed Inter-LISP/65.

Maybe the company just changed the name for marketing reasons or avoiding potential naming or licensing clashes. But other independent implementations did use the name Interlisp such as Interlisp/360-370.

It turns out the spelling isn't even consistent on their product.
I actually see it come up on auction from time to time and here is a picture of an active one

I *think* I managed to reply to Amin Girasol's Mastodon post that "Special Software Systems" is associated with the name "Phillip Dennis" (from the US Register of Copyright Holders).  I have no idea who he is.

Looking around for "Phillip Dennis" and "Software"  on LinkedIn there are a couple of possible hits, but no certain matches.  His name also shows up in association with "David Selenkow" (from a minimal LinkedIn entry: "Owner, DBS Consulting, Inc and Computer Software Consultant").

Thanks but it seems you published a standalone post instead of replying to Amin Girasol, so I replied to him with a link and tagged you:
