Here is a quick mockup of what I meant. 
If you run the included index.html file it should be a neat thing.

I'm just showing an idea.
I DO realise that each additional thing creates some burden.

I never got too heavy into HTML too deeply. 
Please forgive my mistakes as this is a back of the napkin example to discuss how it "feels" conceptually. 

This is just an idea, consider it a passive demonstration for thought.

It would probably be best not to just have that mailto hanging out there. (spambots etc)
Maybe the mailto goes to a proxy email first that can run the usual junk filtering and pass it on to an internal account with some "has content" rules/filters.

Just today I came across this --

I'm sure there's at least one technique in there that would work for us to block most of the address harvesting... then we can pass that on to a person for checking.
