On Mastodon I'm having a conversation on the structure editor Peter Deutsch created in 1968  and I noted that Interlisp had such an editor at least as early as 1974. Which Lisp implementation did Deutsch write the editor for? BBN Lisp? When did Interlisp first get the structure editor?

Note Peter says:

The editor described here is implemented within the PDP-1 and SDS 940
time-sharing LISP sytems, but can be used with minor changes within any
LISP system which includes the capabilities of LISP 1.5 It was begun by the
author in 1965 and later extended by Bobrow and Teitelman at BBN.

So by the date of this report I’d say it’s safe to assert that the editor ran on BBN-LISP.

Yes, I used it there at least in 1969
