Hey, I was wondering if there's a way to open multiple windows through lispbuilder. When I open one and then another, it just closes the first. I see that it was added as a feature to SDL 2.0, but I can't find much other information about it.

I don't think you can do this in SDL 1.x, only 2.x and above. E.g. the 1.x API function SDL_SetVideoMode inherently assumes only one window exists; in 2.x this function doesn't even exist.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to migrate Lispbuilder to 2.x, so unless someone steps up for the job, it won't happen any time soon.

As Elliott said, 1.x supports a single window only. That's not to say that you can't open multiple windows from CL, just that the one running sdl has to be the main thread.
