While single-player is a great tour de force, multiplayer is a bit of a mixed bag in the sense that during my time, I encountered very few other racers. A lot of racing games generally live and die by their multiplayer capabilities. Matchmaking, combined with a small player base, has not fared well in the past for VR games. To its credit Mini Motor Racing X allows you to play in any single player mode while you wait in a multiplayer queue. I wish most games offered this option.

Classic has players racing only with their skills and a bit of nitro, while Type X gives players some type of weapon during each lap to cause chaos on the track. While both modes play similarly to each other, there are too many missteps in the execution.

There are so many game modes in Mini Motor Racing X that it is tough to figure out where to start. I decided to hop into career mode to get started, and it turned out to be a great choice. There are five levels of difficulty in career mode, each being earned by winning the one before it. Each difficulty consists of somewhere between 40 and 60 races. That might seem like enough content, but Mini Motor Racing X is just getting started. Dig a little deeper, and you will see that the initial career mode is just the tip of the racing iceberg.

Do you want to add another player to your career in the middle and keep playing in co-op? Fine. Want to jump into VR and race against your friends online, even if they are playing the flat version? No problem. Want to put together an eight-man Bumper Ball match? Why are you even asking? Just do it. Heck, you can even jump into multiplayer mode by yourself and snag the multiplayer trophies by racing against the AI.

With racing games becoming more and more complex, as a casual fan I have a hard time committing enough time to newer titles to become competitive. Games like Mini Motor Racing X deliver a digestible experience, which allows me to get that racing rush while still indulging a blast of nostalgia for some of my favorite old RC racing titles.

The gameplay is more engaging than ever thanks to a rich RPG-style career mode that lets you build a fleet of unique vehicles and assemble the finest hand-picked racing team in your quest to become the World Racing Tournament champion. And if that's not enough, take the challenge to the real world by forming a Race Club with your friends and go head to head with other racers from around the world.

With incredible HD graphics, over 30 new and classic tracks, league and challenge modes, club battles, massive single player career, officially licensed Nissan, KIA and Choro-Q (penny racer) vehicles, Mini Motor Racing WRT is the ultimate racing experience for mobile.

The cars feel heavy, you can ram someone and push them around. While the game hardly has realistic physics, the dirty play physics are great. Ramming someone out of your way or spinning them with such tight quarters is always a joy that other racing games have forgotten about. With the racers being mini, it becomes a feat to spin someone around rather than just pushing them. That can come back to haunt you. Any pile of cars becomes dangerous as they push right into you rather than dodge you. This is geared for the arcade, rather than realism. Its tough to avoid pile ups at the first turn.

To get longevity out of the courses, you will be racing on a lot of the courses a few times, but with a twist. Some races reverse the track. Other events are at night, or at dusk. The largest twist when you do the same race in a different cup is a literal one. The game will shift the perspective of the track. It helps to keep things interesting on what would otherwise be the same race for the forth time. The mini map stays the same, so what is north on the mini map could be southeast on the track itself. There are a few objects to bump into on each track. You can run down cones, knock over tire stacks and it all feels good to interact and mess up the course a little.

Mini Motor Racing EVO is a fantastic game for a dirt cheap price. Its a game for any fan of the overhead racing genre and a fun, enjoyable experience with challenge. At $5 its tough to argue with the price for a game with so much fun and content.

Mini Motor Racing is an isometric racing game developed by The Binary Mill for iOS and Android platforms. In May 2013, the game was released for the Microsoft Windows platform as Mini Motor Racing EVO[1] and in December 2019 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR as Mini Motor Racing X.[2] It was released on the iTunes App Store on December 8, 2011, and on the Google Play Network on May 11. The game features vehicle, race and environment physics, vehicle upgrades, day and night tracks, Career, Quick Race and Multiplayer modes along with Game Center leaderboards and achievements. Mini Motor Racing also uses Apple's iCloud to store and sync progress across iOS 5 devices.

Mini Motor Racing 2 is an excellent racing game with top-down perspective that has outstanding graphics and a perfect control system for touchscreens. It's a worthy successor of a saga that's been around since 2011.

The racing consists of moving across small tracks trying to complete all laps faster than your opponents. There are several different cars in the game, and each of them have their own stats. Your car can move in any direction, use items, and has a built in boost feature. The only big feature absent from this game is drifting, but because of the way the movement works with the car, I never really felt like I needed drifting to do better in the game.

Mini Motor Racing X is going back to your childhood where slot-cars were the coolest Christmas gift around and Off-Road was one of the best NES games you could get your hands on! In this reimagining of those concepts comes a unique racer playable in or out of VR that has you racing against a few other opponents in an extensive on or offline single or co-op campaign and multiplayer modes that expand upon the games core mechanics. As my content is VR focused, my review will be covering the game as it plays in the headset.

In terms of game file size, you will need at least 2 GB of free disk space available. An Intel Core i3-6100 CPU is required at a minimum to run Mini Motor Racing X. Whereas, an Intel Core i5-4590 is recommended in order to run it. Provided that you have at least an AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card you can play the game. But, according to the developers the recommended graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. Mini Motor Racing X system requirements state that you will need at least 8 GB of RAM.

In fact, it might be a bit of a squeeze to get the burly sales representative into the passenger seat of a small sedan. But give Stallings a few hundred meters of racetrack, and a gallon or so of gas, and he will buzz around on his bright-blue miniature motorcycle for hours.

It is called a pocket bike, and until the past few years there were few of them to be found this side of Europe. The miniaturized motorcycles are, however, attracting growing numbers of ordinary folks like Stallings, who seek the adrenaline rush of large motorcycles without the cost and the hassle.

The spectacle of adults cramming themselves onto motorcycles that stand only 18 inches tall and weigh about 50 pounds brings to mind circus bears on unicycles. The largest of pocket bikers seem to almost envelop their tiny rides, giving the impression that the rider is somehow propelling himself around the racetrack.

George "Razor" Holsenback, 26, turned from drag-racing cars to pocket bikes a few years ago because he was in a financial pinch, and pocket bikes cost about $2,500 -- a fraction of the cost of large racing motorcycles or cars.

Whether the bikes can grow from a quirky novelty item to a full-fledged motor sport is anyone's guess. The number of pocket bike clubs in the country has grown in the past three years from two or three to more than a dozen.

There are four major pocket bike manufacturers, three of them in Italy. The fourth is in the Czech Republic. The bikes look like scale models of large racing bikes, down to details on the windshields, exhaust pipes and handlebars.

One group, headquartered in the basement of small-business owner Jay Wandalowski's Kensington home, is jockeying to become the national sanctioning body for pocket biking. The Pocketbike Racing Network, which Wandalowski founded last year, aspires to unite pocket biking clubs across the country by standardizing racing procedures and creating a system for determining a national champion.

As the sport has grown, regulations for racing -- the size of the bikes, the classes of racers -- can vary widely from club to club. Wandalowski says the sport will grow more quickly if national standards are established, so race results have equal weight and meaning across the country.
