@EatSleepRIDE I totally agree with you, but in still baffled by who would buy this, even as a collectors item. Wouldn't people rather be buying Roland Sands builds? Or Deus Ex bikes? There are so many legendary custom builders out there that I think are inarguably producing better bikes than arch, typically for a lot cheaper too. That combined with the existence of the Desmodicci RR and Honda's production RC213V, really makes me wonder why anyone would pick the KR to add to their collection. While its not my thing, primarily due to my limited funds, but nonetheless I can fully appreciate buying stuff as a collectors item, while not discarding the value of its function, more focusing on the history, significance or form. I posted an article earlier in the week about Dainese's limited edition (only 20) "Tattoo Design" race suit. I grasp that they're more made to live in a glass display than they are the track. Having said that, still baffled. To put this in a way Keanu would get, I think Arch's bikes are like totally bogus man. Wyld Stallyns!
the only reason it's even particularly noteworthy is because a mediocre actor is partially behind it. (I hate the fact he named it after himself too, your not Massimo Tamburbi, you're he guy from Bill and Ted!)
its like the bike doesn't know what it wants to be. It has a bunch of weird style elements borrowed from a lot of different types of bikes, and while this can be cool, I feel like this model was a fail.
I don't understand the concept of putting race/sport components on a bike that's from wont really allow for a very agile or sporty ride. The good news is this is not a company that will last, I'd be shocked if they built a second model, even more so if they sold over 25 units in total.
Sorry but again, the price is insane!!!! I'd rather buy a Dyna, a Panigale (899), a super tenere and an RSV4 Tuono, with money left over, all for the same price as one bike that I don't think is that cool to begin with. If I saw this bike being sold for 15k, I still wouldn't think it was cool or particularly good looking, and as I've stated, clearly not 80k worth of good looking. I like the exhaust, just not on THIS bike. I know I'm not a Harley guy but I throughly hate almost everything about this (what I consider to be an abortion of a ) bike. Sorry Keanu......
I love the looks of this bike, But really $78,000 and the only real "innovations" are polished aluminum "fuel cells" and a relocated air intake on a stock S&S engine. From looking at the bike, one could take a Dyna, modify the rear tail, add a new swing arm, upgraded suspension and brakes front and rear, and build up the motor or even put a new S&S 124 in it for a lot less than $78,000. I fail to see the real justifier for the obscene price tag, maybe aside from the association of Keanu Reeves.
