For every art form, science, or craft, there are those of us who sample and dapple in these until we find the true love that nurtures curiosity, zeal and satisfaction. Yoga class will help you sleep, heal back pain, relieve stiff shoulders and learn to tolerate the mild discomfort of change. For a few, Yoga practice becomes a lens, an attitude, a way of cultivating honesty and deep listening to our reactivity, our behavioral patterns, aspirations and fears. 
Movement is fun, and by far the most popular form of yoga. What about the movement in stillness? and the stillness in movement? In this workshop, we will explore asana and counter asanas through repetition and timings. 

For the experienced student: inversions, Urdhva Dhanurasana, please be familiar and able with how to adapt any injuries or conditions you may have for yourself. 

From LIGHT ON LIFE: True concentration is about an unbroken thread of awareness. Yoga is about how the Will, working with intelligence and the self-reflective consciousness, can free us from the inevitability of the wavering mind and outwardly directed senses. 
Consider the challenge of body on mind in an asana.... Maintaining an equilibrium in asana so that there is no backsliding, we can add our observations of the knees, feet, skin, ankles, soles of feet, toes, etc: the list is endless.
