Hi everyone.. Monday, Nov 4, the day before E day.
How can we cultivate equilibrium when it seems like the ship is swaying in a storm? Perhaps that storm is your own apprehension, or perhaps a cultural event, and both, in this case!
I will teach inversions followed by supported backward extensions. Timings are an integral part of the Iyengar system. In sustaining an equilibrium of attention, breath, extension and relaxation - perhaps right effort and effortlessness is more appropriate - we find that we can stay in a challenging position with calm.
That challenging position may be in your body, or in a relationship, or in your mind. The dance is to practice being present when the challenge presents itself.
In this workshop we will approach deeper backward extensions with support to dance the line of right effort in the position, breath and awareness.
This workshop is appropriate for those who have studied Iyengar yoga for at least 5 years, who can stay in Sirsasana for at least 6 minutes, and who can push up into Urdhva Dhanurasana.
Look on Monday, Nov 4, under classes...
