Intoday's business environment there is a tremendous need for companies to convert business content to PDF, PDF/A, IMAGE. This is apparent by the many requests programmers and IT professionals receive from managers in industries that range from the legal field to the financial and insurance fields. We realized this more than two decades ago and that is when we began to work on the suite of software products that are offered by Neevia Technology. We understand that we live in a PDF world and we set out to create an application that would change the way people view, share and work with e-documents.

Neevia Document Converter Pro is a software product that dynamically converts Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013/2016/2019/365, WordPerfect, HTML, AutoCAD DWG/DWF, EML, MSG, PostScript and many other document types to PDF, PDF/A, PostScript, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PCX, BMP. It operates in both a batch mode via directory or email scanning and in direct mode via a COM object or .NET component. Document Converter can be configured to recognize text - this is known as OCR - for the converting Image and PDF files and comes with support for printing the input files directly to a physical printer instead of converting them to PDF or Image.

Document Converter Pro is easy to install and is used by companies in the legal, pharmaceutical, insurance, accounting fields and in many other areas that generate voluminous documents. The goal of Neevia Document Converter Pro is to help your company create one PDF/Image standard that can be integrated into your workflow with ease and affordability.

Document Converter Pro can preserve the hyperlinks and bookmarks from Microsoft Word documents, converting headings to bookmarks, transforming table of contents, footnotes and indexes into PDF links, and configuring hyperlinks to launch the user's browser.

PDF linearization is a way to optimize PDF files for more efficient viewing over the web. Pages are loaded faster and the user does not have to wait until the entire PDF file is uploaded by the browser.

By default, Document Converter Pro is scanning the input folders continuously - so if you have a lot of subfolders/files, or some of your input folders are network drives/shares, or you have an antivirus software installed - the scanning can take some time and consume the CPU resources.

What you can do is make Document Converter Pro scan the input folders once every 2 seconds - this should decrease the CPU usage. For that edit the dConverter.ini file and add this line ScanningDelay=2000 to the [MAIN] section (the interval is in milliseconds, 1 second=1000 milliseconds).

By default, when converting url / html files, Document Converter Pro will try to disable JavaScript and other malicious content - this can cause Internet Explorer to crash and the conversion to timeout. To disable this Document Converter Pro feature, edit the dConverter.ini file and add this line EnableEvents=0 to the [HTML] section.

By default, Document Converter Pro will set the page size to the MediaBox. Some PDF files, however, have a CropBox that is smaller than the MediaBox and may include white space, registration or cutting marks outside the CropBox. To force Document Converter Pro use the CropBox rather than the MediaBox, edit the dConverter.ini file and add this line UseCropBox=1 to the [PSPDF] section.
