Acquabella is strengthening its position as a leader in the manufacture of resin and mineral-filled shower trays with four new additions to the range: Natur Wave, Areia Slate Evo, Halo Slate and Unic Slate.

This resin and mineral-filled shower tray combines the most contemporary and daring design with the dynamism of nature. Inspired by the rings of a century-old tree and by the ripples that expand in water from a small drop, the Natur Wave shower tray forms concentric waves that gradually narrow, closing in an imperfectly circular grid.

An elegant frame runs around part of the perimeter of the Halo Slate semi-framed shower tray, concealing an elongated grate that is capable of evacuating large quantities of water. The tray also includes the Slate texture, giving it a minimalist touch, while the drop of the frame is in the Zero texture. Little details that make all the difference.

The Art Deco style of the 1920s has been revived in the Unic Slate custom shower tray. An elegant arch with gentle slopes frames the shower tray, which houses a grate, also with organic shapes, offering even more possibilities for customisation, as Acquabella has three different grate models to choose from: Deco, Dune and Drop.

Aside from the shower tray or bathtub, the sink is the most important element in the bathroom, due to its visibility. Acquabella offers two options for this space, one more classic and one more modern.

When designing your accessible bathroom, start with a barrier-free shower base for handicapped accessibility. Pre-leveled shower pans are easy and quick to install, spend less time renovating and enjoy your shower sooner. Combine one of our Freedom Accessible shower pans with custom wall tiles and accessories to create a stylish oasis for the whole family.

Whether you are replacing a bathtub, building an add-on bathroom, or converting a standard shower, installing a handicapped accessible shower base is an affordable way to transform your home to accommodate aging or mobility disabled family members. Handicapped accessible shower bases have a zero threshold, so there are no barriers for someone entering the shower. Strategically placed grab bars and a folding shower seat help create the safest, most luxurious shower in the industry.

The accessible shower base is sloped towards the drain, but we do recommend adding our collapsible water dam to the threshold, combined with a weighted shower curtain to keep the water from splashing out of the shower.

Accessible or barrier free shower pans are designed to provide the easiest and safest access to the shower. In our experience, adding a door interferes with the accessibility of the shower, so we recommend using a weighted curtain instead.

You cannot install a sliding door track into the threshold of the accessible shower pans without voiding the warranty. We do have an accessory called a semi-permanent threshold, that could be added to the shower pan. This provides a small curb that you can install a door track onto if you prefer.

If you are still planning your bathroom and have to choose the decor, you can go for certain shower enclosure models that facilitate daily cleaning or require less effort. Below we reveal these and the reason for our choice!

Now that you know all the critical points of shower enclosures it will be easier for you to understand the criteria used in creating our classification. So, here are the top five shower enclosures, from the easiest to the most awkward to clean:

For obvious reasons, it is the easiest ever shower enclosure to clean, given that it lacks sliding systems, gaskets, openings, handles, wheels and hinges. The only element is a large glass panel fitted into a slim profile fixed to the floor and wall. For this type of shower the only critical point is the gasket between the profile and tiles, particularly if there is visible silicone residue, which must be eliminated.

Included in this category are all types of shower with hinged openings (e.g. folding doors or hinged doors with a fixed panel). These models are practical, as they are similar to the ones mentioned above, but the hinges may complicate things. Take care not to spray aggressive glass-cleaning products on metal profiles and hinges, which should be treated more delicately.

Although contemporary models have lighter frames with slim profiles, a sliding system slightly complicates things. There are top and bottom rails (often visible) to take Teflon runners or wheels which need to be cleaned periodically. Some models also have overlapping sliding and fixed doors, which can make cleaning awkward. Not to worry: although it takes a little more time and patience, these models can also be thoroughly cleaned.

If you are planning your shower area and the many alternatives on the market are confusing you, this post will give you some useful information.
Start with the fundamental criteria: which elements must you consider to understand which shower tray is the most suitable for your bathroom?

Another important point regarding fitting is the choice of a shower tray that slopes or one with a fixed pan (the internal part used for washing) and a flat part. This depends on the position of the shower taps and the type of shower enclosure: in the case of Walk-in (our shower with an open, unglazed side) for example, it makes sense to leave the threshold flat and the pan with the drain in the part enclosed by glass.

Contemporary production technologies provide infinite finishes for modern shower trays. There are acrylics and ceramics (currently the standard choice), stone or stone-effect shower trays, trays in resin or technical materials (see below), and ultra-smooth to rough textured finishes. This means the style of your bathroom can be enhanced also by the type of shower tray you choose.

The resin shower tray is being imposed on all renovations and new works ahead of its competitors made of ceramic or acrylics. The integration of the shower tray valve stands out.

The usual drainage problems associated with shower trays disappear with this model thanks to its three-dimensional drain curve. Its surface is protected with the highest levels of antibacterial and anti-slip treatments so that you can shower with total peace of mind. The Neo model, in addition to eliminating the evacuation problem with its shower tray valve, has many benefits.

The Walk-In Wall shower enclosure is the most elegant solution, with an open entrance from one side. The smooth surface of the solid safety glass, combined with a subtle strut, gives the bathroom an airy and stylish feel. There is beauty in simplicity. Create an attractive shower space using one solid wall with a unique and luxury design, in any size you wish.

Walk-in shower enclosures are the only ones that truly adapt to your needs. With us, you can have your shower area custom built. It consists of several possible combinations of safety glass panels and is stabilized with elegant metal bars and fixing profiles which do not disturb the aesthetic purity of the design.

Choose from our model solutions or have the dimensions built to the last inch for your specific bathroom space. Flexible, including the slants, apertures and other non-standard requirements. All models of Walk-In shower enclosures are also available in black design - side profiles and W SET black (struts and supports).

The enclosure will look its best directly on the floor with a built in draining groove or floor drain. It highlights the beauty of the ceramic floor tiling and will not limit your creativity when planning the size of your shower enclosure like the standardized tray sizes would.

Walk-in shower enclosures are ideal for showering in two. They allow a comfortably large space and invite the incorporation of other relaxation tools such as a hydromassage panel,, folding seats or rain shower heads.

The Walk-In Wall shower enclosure consists of 8-mm-thick tempered safety glass. The stability of the product is ensured by a metal strut that defines the width of the open entrance.
The Walk-In Wall shower enclosure is available with a gloss or black finish for its metal parts. We recommend mounting the enclosure into a tiled bathroom corner directly on the floor, with a built-in drain gutter or floor drain. The shower enclosure is universal; it comes with a right- or left-hand-side entrance.

For a complete Walk-In Wall shower enclosure, please make sure to order two separate items with the same colour finish!
The first package contains a fixed glass wall with a wall profile, with a gloss or black finish.
The second package (W SET) includes a support and a metal strut, with a gloss or black finish.

The metal strut defines the width of the entrance. We suggest using the universal W SET-Uni Free/Wall with a 120-cm strut, which can be cut to any length, depending on the desired width of the entrance. The strut is connected to the wall using a metal cap which covers the cut.
The W SET-80 Corner/Wall, W SET-90 Corner/Wall or W SET-100 Corner/Wall can also be used for an 80-, 90- or 100-cm-wide entrance. The strut in these W SETS does not need to be cut, and comes without a metal cap.
All items can be found in our price list. Please enquire about alternative customized dimensions and versions of your shower enclosure.
