Hi, I've found the Windows app ScreenSpace will let me resize/reposition the GoogleEarth window so it is slightly larger than the display, this gives a proper fullscreen effect. Honestly once the menu is gone the immersive effect is 10x better, none of this "File Edit View Tools Add Help" distraction.
I don't why Google can't just auto-hide the top-menu after N seconds (http://code.google.com/p/liquid-galaxy/issues/detail?id=15)

ScreenSpace is at http://www.dandeware.com/screenspace/

There's a bunch of other visual cruft that we need to get turned off for LG systems as well - Time slider, StreetView/Ground Level indicator, but the Menu bar is the worst offender.
