to LIPS

Hello again,

So many LIPS events happening these days! In addition to Euro LIPS, GLIPSA is also coming up.

For those unfamiliar with it, GLIPSA is a one day LIPS-style event that takes place just before the Great Lakes Planetarium Association (GLPA) conference each year. In case you're curious, GLIPSA doesn't stand for anything; it's GLPA and LIPS squished together in a pronounceable word.

This year GLIPSA will take place on Tuesday, October 7. It is being hosted by Sarah Weaver at the Como Planetarium in St Paul, Minnesota. The Como Planetarium is part of St Paul Public Schools.

GLPA 2025 is joint with the Western Alliance Coference, and the conference officially kicks off the evening of October 7. It runs through noon on Saturday, October 11, with an optional post-conference event that afternoon.

You can get more information, register, etc. at:
https://glpa.org/annual-conference/

GLIPSA is a $30 add-on to the conference fee. This add-on charge includes the cost of morning break food and drinks as well as lunch. Note that GLPA processes all GLIPSA registrations, which I am eternally grateful about.

This year we actually have access to a dome for GLIPSA (woo hoo!) as well as a classroom space. I'm working on getting details about all of the presentation options - stay tuned for the release of the session proposal form.

For now, if you're interested in presenting at GLIPSA, just let me know how much time you'd like and whether you want to present in the dome or classroom.

Thanks,
Karrie
