Planetarium Educators Workshop Series

Part I: Communication

When: 2025 July 25 at 2pm PDT (5pm EDT, 21:00 UT)

Alan Gould, member of the International Planetarium Society (IPS) Education Committee and Director Emeritus of the Lawrence Hall of Science Planetarium, is organizing this workshop series. It is intended to be largely participant-led and loosely centered on updating the Planetarium Educators Workshop Guide (IPS Special Publication #10). Focus for this first session will be Module 1, Communication, on how instructor-student communication can lead to more rewarding outcomes than presenter-lectures. Please have on hand physical paper (or napkin) and pencil or pen if you plan to attend. Bonus topic: strategies for getting funding, revenue, and financial stability for your planetarium.
