How do I fire up LXmerge nowadays?

I am running 1.2.8.1 on a PC (installed from the "stand-alone-bundle" which is supposed to contain LXmerge in its package). Best greetings to DD and Borstel! Lars and Christoph.

Hello Lars,

LXmerge functionality was not included in the single file installer,

as it was not compatible with the web version, and we want to have a single unified version,

I would like to better understand the use case, to see if we might already gave a solution.
