June 29, 1933 - June 15, 2026

Frieda Ann Method, 92, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at her residence. She was born June 29, 1933, in Niles, Michigan, to Hermann and Gladys (Cochran) Hertel.

Frieda graduated from Niles, Michigan High School and also South Bend College of Commerce in South Bend, Indiana.

She married the love of her life, Edward S. Method, on June 27, 1959, in Elkhart, Indiana, at the Simpson Methodist Church. Edward preceded her in death on May 13, 1982.

She is survived by her nephew Charles Mott.

She was a Past Matron and 50-year member of the Starlight Chapter No. 181, Order of the Eastern Star in Elkhart. She was a member of the Lions Club of Dunlap.

Visitation will be held at Zimmerman Clouse Funeral Home, 1129 S. Prairie St., Elkhart, IN 46516, Saturday, June 27, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral Services will start at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Prairie Street Cemetery. Pastor Jack Rorie from the Sanctuary of Osceola will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, she has requested that memorials be sent to Eastern Star of Elkhart Chapter 181, 27365 Sunset Strip, Elkhart, IN 46514-5630, or to the Lions Club of Dunlap, 23623 Ramble Wood Lane, Elkhart, IN 46516.

Zimmerman Clouse Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
