Larry Lee Morr
June 12, 1939 — April 21, 2026
Larry Lee Morr, 86, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on April 21, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Born on June 22, 1939, in Auburn, Indiana, to Robert Morr and Freida Dailey.
Larry lived a full and accomplished life marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends. He graduated from Auburn High School and went on to earn his degree from Butler University. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army before building a successful career as an Insurance Broker and later working as a Medicare Specialist.
On October 25, 1999, he married Elida in Mesa, Arizona, and together they shared over 26 years of marriage filled with love and companionship and cherished memories. Larry had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, boating, and basketball. He was a devoted fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. He was also a dedicated member of the Elkhart Lions Club, generously giving his time and energy to serve others. He participated in several eyeglass missions to Mexico, extending his passion to service at the international level. He was a past president of the Elkhart Lions.
Larry especially treasured time spent with friends over good meal and boating along the St. Joseph River with his wife. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elida; his daughters, Laralee (Gregg) Higgins of Port Charlotte, Florida, Vicki Morr (Amy) of Greenwood, Indiana and his Brother-in-law’s, Joe Rodriguez (Kim) of Defiance, Ohio and Alex Rodriguez (Marta) of Punta Gorda, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Morr and Freida Dailey and his brother, Dick Morr.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home in Elkhart, Indiana with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. Following visitation, Larry will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Olive Cemetery in Jimtown, IN.
