In Loving Memory of Lion Jason Smith
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the sudden and unexpected passing of our newly installed president, Lion Jason Smith, on Saturday June 20, 2026.
Jason was more than a leader—he was a friend to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering commitment to service defined who he was, both within our club and beyond. He gave selflessly of his time and energy, whether preparing meals for our meetings, organizing and leading fundraisers, or lending his hands and heart to nearly every service project we undertook.
His dedication embodied the true spirit of Lionism. Jason didn’t just participate—he made things happen. He inspired others through his example, lifted those around him with kindness, and helped build the strong sense of community we cherish today.
Beyond our club, Jason’s greatest pride was his family. He leaves behind five children who carry forward his legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, and we hope they find comfort in knowing just how deeply their father was respected and loved.
Our club feels an immeasurable loss. The void Jason leaves behind cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to guide and inspire us in our service. His last words to our membership were: “Every day, strive to make someone smile!”
Lion Jason, you will forever remain in our hearts.
