Hello,

I am creating a multi-stage experiment where the participants are forced to return to an earlier stage based on the decisions they make. They are returned using the "Back" button. However, once they return to the earlier page and move through the stages again, the "Wait for others" mechanism of the "Back" and "Continue" buttons seems to break, and participants are able to move forward without waiting for each other. I was wondering why this was the case and how you would recommend fixing it. Thank you!

Best,
Ankita

Hi Ankita,

The “wait for others” option in a button will wait for all participants in a group to make any decision. If a decision has already been recorded for a given period, everyone can proceed. Should you wish participants to revise a decision, I would create a new stage in which they do this (and store the revised decision in a new variable) rather than make participants revisit a previous stage and overwrite an earlier entry in the database.

Best, Lucas
