I built a simple web application that I have been using to track my kombucha process (as well as beers, ciders and other fermented items):

Others are welcome to use if interested, and get in touch with friendly suggestions/issues!

Wow neat!  Here at the brewery we have similar log sheets that we keep on record, but at home I think this is very handy.  When you keep track over time, you can notice patterns that you otherwise would have missed.

Thanks. I started using it since I'm testing out a lot of recipes and this has been great to have. A couple friendly suggestions:

One addition that would be super helpful is in the list view of all the batches, adding an edit button (pencil) next to the eyeball. I'll create a new batch, save it, and then edit it several times to make notes so having the edit next to the eyeball would make it super convenient.

Other suggestion is potentially making two notes boxes for primary fermentation and secondary fermentation. I'm still on the primary ferment and could imagine breaking the notes out to be helpful.

Just thought of another feature that would be awesome - search! - to look up previous teas/ingredients and the results.

Awesome! I love it.

Feature request: I'd like to be able to add my brewing partner, is there a way to share the journal?

Lyn,

That would be an interesting feature, but might be a bit complex to develop at the moment as I am busy with work! Will keep it in mind though.

Michelle,

I agree that would be an interesting addition –– the application was developed with Firebase is "serverless" –– new to me –– so I'm not sure exactly how search would work out, perhaps it could happen within the JS app or perhaps Firebase has provisions for searchy –– I will look into it!

Great App so far! I am going to give it a whirl and I'll be happy to get you feedback if I have any. Cheers!
