Hi Jared,

I have noticed you have mentioned using a brite tank.  What type of pressure would the tank need to be able to withstand if using it for carbonation?

I see different tanks have different pressure ratings.

Cheers.

Our bright tank is not meant to withstand head pressure above 15psi.  I would think anything made for beer would work.
Ours is a 10BBL size and after trial and error for months we can finally carbonated in less than 24 hours.

Hey Jared,

15 psi, which is 0,5 bar, how do you manage to carbonate with that pressure? Aren't pressure tanks made to withstand more pressure?
I also know that you have to put more head pressure than what you will eventually find in the liquid so I'm a bit confused how 15psi could give a decent amount of carbonation..?

Thanks for your feedback

It takes practice.  You have to set the co2 at a higher pressure but the tank head pressure should not exceed 15psi.  There is a "hurricane" effect you have to get going with the co2 bubbles.
