Hi there,

I have a USB wifi card I want to use because the on-board card is being left behind by the kernel.

Here's my on-board card that I want to blacklist

03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1000 [Condor Peak]

I don't know if I've ever had to blacklist any adapters.  How do I do it?

I've never needed to blacklist a device, but I have for a device driver. I suppose it accomplishes the same thing for your situation, which is disabling a device. Basically, just need to find what driver it uses (lsmod), then put that in the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file. Reference below is for debian-based, but I suspect it's the same for other distros.
