Hi.
I have an Acer Aspire 5920 and have Ubuntu 8.04 installed. On my
laptop there are Multimedia keys on the right side. I searched a bit
and found out that these are a (second) touch pad and currently if I
press them they do things like scrolling up/down/left/right and the
last key (usually the record key) and a key (this one is not on the
touchpad thingy, it's a button) which was used in windows to open the
media center. So my question is:

How do I change the functions of the multimedia keys to what they are
supposed to do (play/pause/forward/etc.) or assigning shortcuts to
them (like opening banshee)?

Thanks in advance,

My Acer Aspire's (4715z) play/pause, stop, previous, next buttons work
out of the box with Rhythmbox.
Have you tried it yet?

Two buttons of my notebook do not work at all. 1. Empowerment, 2. Wireless.

Well, as I said: They behave like a scroll wheel. I can scroll up with
play/pause and down with stop and left/right with forward/backward...
Also in Rythmbox they just scoll up and down... Thats because it's a
touchpad. The Wireless/Bluetooth/Browser/Mail buttons worked out of
the box...
