Booting ubuntu 10.10.....

Hi,

I have debian Squeeze installed on sda1 and Ubuntu on sda5 partition. yesterday, I have upgraded ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10.

After update grub in squeeze, didn't recognize ubuntu kernels.

what might caused for this/

have you run 'grub-update' (or update-grub, depending) command in the
terminal in squeeze??? it should look at all partitions, search for
MBRs and kernels then register them so you can boot.

you have to run os-prober from the os-prober package before grub-update

I didn'd run os-prober, but used update-grub2 in squeez. detecting only squeez kernal on sda1, but not ubuntu kernal on sda5.

Today I tried with os-prober, and then ran a command update-grub2....

 

Now, grub detecting both squeez and ubuntu 10.10....
