Hello,

I recently reviewed WPS Office for Linux (Writer) I am so impressed with the layout and function. It is the closest layout to MS Office that I have ever used.  I intend to use it full time for several weeks and see how things go. Check out my full WPS Writer review if you are interested. There are some useful command line functions as well:

To convert a MS-Word doc to PDF I use:

lowrite --headless --convert-to pdf position-description.doc 

Similarly, when converting PowerPoint, I use

loimpress --headless --convert-to pdf presentation.pptx
