Hi,

            If I restart the network services after adding the route entries, all the route entries gone. Is it possible to add the route entries automatically after restarting the network services alone?  Kindly help as soon as possible.

Warm Regards,

Vinayagamoorthi.K,

if it is a fedora or a redhat system then add/edit the file "/etc/
sysconfig/networking/devices/eth1.route" or whatever network device
and add the following to it

#####
GATEWAY0=192.168.100.1
NETMASK0=255.255.255.0
ADDRESS0=192.168.50.0
#######

this adds the route permanently to the device and there would be no
need to run it from rc.local.

Dear Friend,

Add your route path into /etc/rc.local file. So,During linux startup, it'll automatically add the router by checking rc.local file.

There are other ways available to add routes,but try this first.

Thanks,
Nishith.

Hi Vinay,

Add your route entry in /etc/rc.local file, so whenever your server restart entry would be added.

/usr/sbin/route add 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.100 eth0

Regards,
Manoj
