hoe to detact a sata in redhat el5 and how to configure a dns in redhat el5

i am mohamed rijvan from chennai.i am a linux admin in a company.i was
configure a dns service in redhat el5.that configuration file is vi /
etc/named.conf but i was installed a package bind.after edit a
configuration does not exit.pls tell about that.

i think you forget to save using wr command

how to detect sata:

Use : dmesg and fdisk -l command

i am rizvan.i was configure a nis server its working normally but one user only login after i aws create a user that user cannot login to a client machine.so how can i login other user.pls tell me abour mehul

actually i was configure a nis service in redhat el4.it was working normally but to mount a nis sercice from a server to client machine one user only login but other user cannot login.what is th problm?pls tell me sir
