I've tried it with LinuxBoot/u-root, and it works (RV64)! However,
only with the still-to-be-upstreamed kexec-file-load support [1]. That
is based on the existing kexec work.

For those coming here nowadays, kexec-file-load is in mainline as of mid-2025. So it works with current released. 🙂

I have used it on multiple platforms and can confirm it to work.
