latest status on brightness/lxpanel ?

Sorry, I had mid-sem exams till last week, what's latest update of
brightness and lxpanel? is anybody working on it? I plan to resume
with brightness issue first since its more complicated and critical...

detecting a battery was never a problem. The kernel detects it very well. The problem is with lxpanel batt plugin algo

Exactly, the code in lxpanel is supposed to read mAh values from two files instead we're directly providing percentage in the file "capacity"
