Suggestion to split filesystem image

The huge 1.9gb filesystem keeps dropping (may be because of server or my ISP isnt able to take week-end load)
What I suggest is having smaller (500mb)chunks of filesystem (hint: *split* command) which can be joined to form one image after being downloaded.


Also, there is no checksum for this image

Oh I do have an image, but I broke it installing some jdk stuff... anyway I do keep backups but those are bit old, and why not try a pre-built image if I can ?

I think there is some issue with aakashlabs server, I'm also getting blazing speed, any way I will
break them into chunks and add a checksum.
