If Linux wants to compete with main stream OS's,
it's going to have to straighten out it's file structure Mess !
There is absolutely no reason why .files can't be stored in a
"settings" folder in ones home directory instead of all over the
place.
Ideal would be home/users/settings/systems or home/users/settings/
applications right ?
that would easily clean up the users home directories, and keep system
config files away from application config files.
The same type of logic could be used with the standard files,
right now GoBoLinux is the only distro trying to fix these issues,
Linux itself would benefit greatly from some logic added to it and
could get a speed upgrade by this.
