SCSI boot problems

Well I have and this is it:
tyan tomcat I
AWDbios ver 2.03
AL-500 scsi controller card (also known as: LS200 53c400 LF-S008AT and
others)
2 IBM 478 ( 400 something meg)
1 other (not sure which one I am going to get it to finally put in am tring
all of them currently)
a cable w/ 4 connecters (3 devices)
drives set to id 0,1,2
I have gotten to a point where my bios is trying to boot from them I think
(not sure) but after the card scans for drives and recognizes them it will
always lock up if any hdds are installed if not will go farther and then say
no boot disk error
Plz help me!
