hi all..

when accessing samba shares from an OS/2 Warp 4 client (various
fixpacks) - OS/2 will freeze rock hard. It only happens when accessing
database files, i presume it's due to the random
seeking/locking/writing. Reading and writing normal files is OK.
W95/W98/WNT and other Samba machines all work perfectly.

anyone got any ideas? it's most annoying!

Hi,

try increasing the shared mem size

[global]
shared mem size = 5242880

The default size is 1 meg this makes it five
I'm not familiar with OS/2 but had the same problem with NT & 98

Good luck,
Alan
