I'm having trouble with printing to Canon ImageRunner printers from Win2k.
I have three models, the 550, 400, and 330. I'm running Samba2.2.5 on
RedHat7.1. The printing is running through lprng. The prints from Win2k
do not go to the printer or end up printing as gibberish.

Here's my /etc/printcap entry.
Canon330Pur:\
:sh:\
:ml=0:\
:mx=0:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/Canon330Pur:\
:rm=203.57.228.214:\
:rp=Print:

This works fine with win9x and winNT4 workstations. Here's the printers
section of my smb.conf file.

[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
printable = Yes
browseable = No

Please let me know if you would like any further information. I appreciate
your assistance.

Thanks,

If it works fine with Win98 and NT4; that should tell you straight away that
it is not a SAMBA setting problem and is directly related to the set-up of
the
Win2K machines. Have you set the printer driver on Win2K to print RAW ?
or is it spooling to EMF. The default on Win98 and NT4 is to RAW.

I checked and the print processor is set to winprint and the default
datatype is RAW. I'll continue to work with it.
