Making Rh 6.2 current

Howdy all -

I am brand new to Linux on a Sparc. I have three Ultra 5's that I
want to Linux-ify, and I am a Red Hat kind of guy, so I want to put RH
6.2/Sparc on and then update it. I will probably just compile
everything from source and not try to find RPMs to update.

I am thinking glibc, gcc, automake/autoconf, new kernel. Anyone else
done this? Any gotchas I need to know about?
