Can I install redhat 6.2 on this sun machine. Have downloaded the iso image
and burnt the cd but I can't get it to boot. How do you get the md5sum check
sum prog to work. I've down loaded all the above on an NT4 workstation.

Any help guidance much appreciated

You should be able to....
To check the md5sum on NT you will need to search for a copy of the check
utility. Try a yahoo search. I've done it but it was a while back.

One thing to try first is burn the Iso image at single speed or 2x. I have
had problems with consistancy, especially reading on older drives with CDs
burned faster but had the same image at 2x work great.

You may also want to check Aurora.org out as they have posted the iso's now
for RedHat 7.3 on sparc 32 and 64 bit machines (0.32).
