My system:
- Fresh red hat 8 installation (choosing kde as desktop environment).
- Printer HP Laserjet 6l.
I open the file with
kghostview test.pdf
Menu: File->Print
I choose "Generic Unix LPD print system (default)", then press the "Print"
button.
only 2 or three pages are printed, then the printer simply stops.
This did not happen with red hat 7.3 , nor with debian nor Mandrake.
I also tried printing with Cups, but I get an error message: verify that
the CUPS server is installed and running. But I did install cups (by
checking the option in the package management window).
I also tried printing with xpdf, but it seems it only prints to a ps file.
I also tried ggv, but the print option does nothing.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Thanks a lot for any help...
